Scottish troops
James VI after raising considerable support was able to gather 4,000 troops and taken control of Edinburgh. They are currently on their way to Southern England and it is expected that they will arrive in Southern England to overthrow Mary within the next month. However before James leads the troops into battle he seeks formal documentation that he will be called Elizabeth's heir.
Royal Update
Spain has now declared publicly that they are placing Mary Stuart on the throne of England and Scotland and she has accepted. However this is unpopular with the people of Scotland as Spain will force the Presbyterians to convert to Catholicism. Her son, James VI is a protestant though and says we would convert the entire kingdom if given the chance.
